At the 19th National Science and Technology Festival, a faculty member of the university was honored as the country's top researcher and technologist.


In the 19th National Science and Technology Festival which is held annually with the aim of promoting research culture, research capabilities and communication among researchers of the country, Dr. Sayed Hamid Reza Sadeghi was honored as one of the outstanding researchers in the category of academic scholars. Dr. Sadeghi was born in 1347 in Khansar and has a Bachelor degree of Science in Grassland and Watershed Management from Gorgan University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, Master of Watershed Management from Tarbiat Modares University, Ph.D. in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering from G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in India and postdoctoral of sediment production processes in Forest Watersheds from Kyoto University in Japan. He has published numerous articles in prestigious domestic and international journals. His field of expertise is the use of secondary waste from industries and factories to protect water and soil.

Some of Dr. Sadeghi's scientific and research achievement's include: The first top Selected Professor in 2015, University Researcher in 2006 and 2008, prominent University Professor in the academic years 2004-2005 and 2008-2009, Major Researcher of Mazandaran Province in 2008 and 2015, Senior Researcher at the International Center of British Life in 2005, the winner of the Earth Conservation Pioneering Award for the Indian Conservation Association in 2008 and the winner of the 2014 Gold Medal.
